Thank you to the Ayer PTA for putting on this event. It was a beautiful day to clean up the Ayer Elementary playground! Pulling weeds is not a favorite activity, but the look of a fresh playground space will do wonders in welcoming the Ayer students on their first day of school. And, there is nothing like a little fresh air, hard work, and good conversations! The Forest Hills School District will take care of the mulching, but there must have been 4-5 trash cans full of weeds that were removed! The recent rain made it easy to pull them out roots and all. So the large group of volunteers made quick work of it.
If there is ever an opportunity to volunteer throughout the district, we will post it to our Event Calendar on AdvocateFHSD.org. It feels good to do good ... especially for the kids. So come out and be a part of the volunteer community that makes this school district great! Once again, thank you to the Ayer PTA. You are all rockstars! 9/11/2022 09:16:32 pm
I’d love to get involved in volunteering in the Sunnyside School district area specifically! This is the area I reside in and I’m a 35 year retired teacher from Lemoore union elementary school district! 9/13/2022 07:05:43 am
35 years is awesome! Thank you for your service as a teacher! This website is specifically for the Forest Hills School District in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio. I love your enthusiasm and willingness to volunteer for the Sunnyside School District. I encourage you to visit that district's website and contact the Superintendent and PTO or PTA to find volunteer opportunities near you! And if you are inspired by what we are doing here in Ohio, start a grassroots advocacy group to get the community involved in that part of California. I am sure the schools will appreciate your efforts! Take care Tammy! Comments are closed.
